The work is my contribution to the project Tools for the Crater initiated by Claire Cuccio.

During a shared working process on zoom with artists from East and West, I came to focus on my empty hands and the imprints and lines of the palm, lines that can tell your fortune. In Norwegian language, a handshake is literary a hand press as in print. A simple idea of giving a handshake to my new friends and colleagues led to mono prints on a scroll of Japanese paper. Transferred to a digital print by camera and computer work, the scroll was finally cut and attached to wood and ribbons. The scroll was printed on Japanese ink jet paper, and is stored in its own box.
